We bring extraordinary psycho-educational services to children, adolescents and teens, and their families – all from the comfort and privacy of home.
Our services include comprehensive psychological assessments, counseling, tutoring, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy. With 1 in 5 students struggling with a learning or thinking difference, and with most of those families forced into a broken care system, Parallel is solving one of the most pressing problems in both the American education and healthcare system.

We are looking for a Mental Health Counselor with experience working with children. Our ideal candidate has a passion for supporting families and children with learning differences by ensuring they receive the best care and tools for success.

What You’ll Do:
Conduct an initial Intake Interview
Collaborate with the clinical team to create a treatment plan or an Individualized
Educational Plan (IEP) for each child, including identifying specific counseling related goals
Provide direct counseling services to children
Monitor each child’s progress on an ongoing basis
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with parents, staff, and students on progress
Complete required documentation and data collection necessary for IEP reports, goals, and diagnostic evaluations
Meet regularly with teachers, paraprofessionals, and specialists to discuss individual students modifications or adaptations, ongoing learning issues, interventions, or problems
Participate in bi-monthly team meetings and ongoing supervision and work collaboratively to ensure students needs are met
