We are seeking an experienced multi-talentedMediaAssetManagerto manage all of the agency’s current and historical video assets and initiate a process by which we migrate and archive all video and photo media into a new high-end media management server, the SNS EVO.
Here’s what you’ll do:
In this role, you will be a key team member in the agency’s development, oversight and management of the company’s digital asset management strategy. You will lead the effort of organizing and cataloging all video and still assets as we transfer them into the new server. Using this new state-of-the-art digital asset management system and interface, the SNS EVO Server and Sharebrowser, you will work to archive all footage for permanent secure storage and full accessibility. You will be responsible for reviewing, cataloging, keywording, detailed tagging, and digitally storing all video elements into a professional and intuitive digital structure that makes them secure and allows agency personnel and editors to efficiently access them for future editorial projects and deliverable requests.
You will work with a variety of video content, from high-end national TV commercials and digital content to long form documentary and industrial videos. In each medium, you will organize the video and audio elements for each project, from original raw camera files to final deliverables and masters. You will catalog, name, tag, and safeguard these items for safe permanent storage and on-going editorial usage.
This position will go beyond video to include all of our universal digital assets, including logos, artwork, still images, vector art, and more.
The role recognizes the necessity of accurate digital asset cataloging and metadata standards, and the value of tracking programs that ensure proper storage and efficient search and retrieval of assets.
It will challenge your technical skills while pushing your development as an efficient, insightful digital media manager and editorial assistant. You will be a key part of the editorial department’s growth into a robust and productive editorial facility serving all of the company’s major brands and philanthropic film efforts.
Here’s what you’ll bring to the table:
3+ years of hands-on experience as a digital media manager, video archivist or editorial assistant, ideally including 2+ years working at a commercial editorial company, post-production house or an ad agency.
Expertise in Mac-based editorial tools of the trade, including (but not limited to) Premiere and other adobe creative suite products.
A plus to have worked with theSNS EVO Sharebrowserstorage server and interface.
Superb organizational skills when it comes to digital file management, ensuring all editorial elements and media are organized, tagged, and stored accurately and consistently.
Fluency in the technical aspects of standard commercial editing and post-production protocol. A working knowledge of the post-production process from dailies and transcodes to final deliverables.
