Contract Administrator Job at Exactly Right Media, Inc. – in Los Angeles, CA
This position will have the responsibilities listed below and provide essential support as part of the business and legal affairs team that facilitates productions and other special projects as needed.
Draft, review, prepare red-line with suggested edits and administrate all types of production-related contracts, including host agreements, producer agreements, guest releases, composer agreements, graphic design agreements, marketing agreements, and vendor agreements under guidance of supervising attorney.
Arrange for countersignature and dissemination of fully executed agreements to all appropriate parties.
Work closely with production and finance on issues arising in production or payments.
Ensure legal policies and contracts are applied across productions on a consistent basis.
Provide assistance to the production team on matters relating to use of production forms and legal policies.
Prepare legal correspondence, including termination letters, extensions and amendments.
Maintain library of production agreement templates and executed agreements.
Manage, track and prepare reports relating to status of drafting and execution of production agreements and other production activities.
Track options for all podcast deals and keep Exactly Right abreast of upcoming deadlines.
Perform clearance functions in connection with Exactly Right podcasts, such as review of audio (including music) and print content in advertising/publicity materials, in-house productions, third party productions, licensing, and related programs; chain-of-title analyses, and similar reports; and, clear third party materials for inclusion in Exactly Right podcasts.
Perform special projects and other related duties as may be directed from time-to-time by a supervisor.

Four years of experience in contract negotiation and drafting.
Experience with entertainment production, podcast and/or television industry.
Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience in a law firm or media company.
Experience with guild rules and regulations.
Experience with intellectual property clearances.
Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, Google Mail, and Outlook.
Interact well with all levels of personnel with ability to communicate clearly.
Ability to identify and analyze complex issues and devise solutions and strategies with minimal supervision.
Must have superior organizational skills with the ability to prioritize high-volume work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and commitment to managing assignments with professionalism and integrity.
Excellent written, verbal, analytical and organizational skills.
College degree in relevant field or equivalent level of experience.
Standard office environment, currently working remotely
