Job Description

The Content Acquisitions Coordinator provides support to Redbox’s Content Partnerships Team which manages relationships and content acquisitions with Studio and Independent Content Partners for Redbox’s digital services. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated background in content acquisitions, partner management, or content programming, and have a passion for movies and TV.

Key Responsibilities

Support both the Director and Manager of Content Partnerships in managing media lifecycle process from content acquisition to launch on the Redbox On Demand service

Create and maintain supplier calendars, communication materials, and avail processes

Maintain content avail submissions, window schedules, and workflows

Work cross-functionally with Editorial, Marketing and additional internal teams to prioritize key content opportunities, while working alongside supplier partnerships to do the same

Coordinate content and program acquisitions for premium content acquisitions for Redbox On Demand and Redbox Free Live TV

Attend meetings, take detailed notes, and follow up with next steps as needed

Support the broader team in reporting and other duties as necessary

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred; a high school diploma or GED plus two additional years of relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree

2+ years of experience working in digital distribution / entertainment for Film and Television

Experience with contracts, business management and/or digital partnerships is a plus

Strong Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, G Suite

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

In-depth knowledge of the digital entertainment industry

Strong understanding of content acquisitions and avails management

Self-motivated, creative problem-solver who is flexible and can prioritize in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing deadlines

Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills

Exceptional attention to detail, superb time management skills

Familiarity with web publishing platforms and content management systems

Passion for content, specifically with movies and television

Physical Requirements

Sedentary work involves remaining in a stationary position most of the time in front of a computer, using a keyboard, mouse and telephone. Regularly operate a computer and other office equipment. Occasionally move about the work site to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. Exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or regularly move objects. Communicate and exchange information with co-workers and other individuals in person and electronically.
