Administrative Assistant Job at Emcor – 3.2 in New York, NY


The accounting and data entry associate will be responsible for providing support to the accounting department by handling various accounts payable and receivable duties.


Process, properly code and enter accounts payable into accounting software

Prepare and process accounts receivable invoicing

Follow up on outstanding accounts receivables via phone and email

Perform monthly reconciliations

Create and maintain job folders with hard copies of purchases orders and invoices

Miscellaneous filing and administrative assistance to accounting department


Bachelor Degree in Accounting

Prior accounting experience in construction or service contractor field

Knowledge and experience with AIA documents

Possess strong communication skills, both oral and written

Must have good time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, Outlook

Knowledge of Peachtree Accounting Software a plus

Notary Public a plus
